Just wondering how many other people are going by themselves.

I fly generally fly solo, but it's a little different, since I'm semi-local.

At the Fest, you're never alone. You just have a few thousand friends you haven't met yet.

I'm kind of coming out on my own this time although through this board I've already met two people on the same flight as me and I know at least 30 or so people from the UK that are gonna be there.
No ones ever really alone at Fest anyway!

I went alone last year but met up with people down there, so it wasn't so bad.
Meet new people and make friends, its what the Fest is about!

I'm coming alone, but "I'm a loner, Dottie, a rebel" you see, so it's not new to me. I'm looking forward to meeting some new folks, though.

Yup.
I'm one of the vagabonds in question.
When I started out planning to go to Fest bout (2-3 months ago) I knew nobody Fest-wise and was travelling on my own.
As of now there's 2 other guys I know on my flight, one of which i'm travelling all the way to G.Ville with and i've made a load of new friends on this board. One of which is very kindly putting a roof over my head.
Coming to Fest has literally been best decision I've made all year, I'm sure I'll come away from Fest with more new mates than I know what to do with.
Good times!

I'm meeting a few people down there, but I am travelling down alone. But that is OK because I like airplane rides. Except Southwest doesn't have TV's "all up in the in the headrests" like jetBlue does, and I'm not bringing my laptop so I'll have nothing to watch or do on the flight. I'll probably have to read a book or something

JetBlue also had $1 beers last time I flew, just to rub in your misfortune of flying SW.
