accomodation?
boooooze?
food?
sweet ass merch yo?
alcohol?
any other crazy stuff you might be in to?
beers?
i've got approx 400 bones so far. but i haven't got my flights yet.

I started working out the potential cost of my combined New York/Fest trip the other day and had to stop for fear of thinking it was a bad idea. Whatever the cost I'm sure it'll be worth it.

Food's going to be my killer I eat a lot and I never budget enough for it!
I'm going to kick myself afterwards but I'm limiting my merch buying to stuff I a) can't get mailorder in the UK or b) is on the records 'wants' list. I have way too many t-shirts already!!
How much is (vegan) food in the states?

Food, like most things, is very cheap.

i could definately go way over the top with merch.
i haven't really considered food costs as a big thing, i should really whip out the old caclulator and have a look into everything

Well 'd keep that 400 bones handy for your flights, you should get em for about 350 as long as you're not picky about times and stops and stuff.
Accommodation is pretty cheap, I was quoted just short of 200 clams for 6 nights at 'Americas Best Value Inn' don't know how long you're staying but it comes in at around 30 quid a night..Unless you're staying at the Holiday Inn which I gather is gonna be a bit more expensive.
Food and booze is pretty cheaq, just budget for everyday to be the equivalent money wise of a night out here and I don't think you'll go too far wrong.
Merch is on you dude, it's prob at the back of my list of shit to budget for. Just remember you'll prob be able to get most of the records and shirt thru mailorder anyway. You do have to get some stuff tho, it just wouldn't be the same coming back without a small distro in your hand luggage
Don't forget to also budget for a Fest tat. You know that'll be the shit!
I reckon if you can afford 100quid per day it'll be more than enough and you'll be laughing.
Word.

i am too hating this guest posting thing.
yeah i'm thinking budgeting for food and booze like it's the UK' a good idea, everything's a heap cheaper innit?
and i'll defiantely go over the top with merch....cos i well like it
we're now thinking about renting a car to venture to some of florida's premiere tourist attractions too.
this may very well end up ridiculously costly, but i'd rather go all out than come home feeling i've missed out

I'm really trying not to think about it - I know it'll be worth it in the end but currently I'm selling my worldly goods on ebay to try and fund it - mainly cuz I've been an absolute arse though and not saved anything.

NYC hotels are very expensive, it seems. Gainesville Hotels, except the Holiday Inn, not so much. Join the SW13th revolution and save a fortune!
