Heya,

So this has probably been answered already somewhere on here I'm sure, but how do they sell the booze in Gainesville? i.e., in Maryland it's all liquor stores open till 2am, and the 7-11's/convenience stores sell nothing; but in Virginia you can only get liquor at ABC stores that close at 10, and 7-11/convenience stores stop selling beer at midnight or so. What's the deal in G'ville?

What are the drinking laws?

21 and up can drink at the venues.
2am bars close on Friday and Saturday.
11pm on Sundays.
You can buy beer and wine up til 2am on Friday and Saturday at convenience stores.
On Sundays you can not buy booze anywhere until 1pm and it stops at 11pm.
ABC stores and Gator Beverage sell liquor up to 9pm and not at all on Sundays.
There are no open containers allowed in Gainesville.

Gainesville has dumb regulations. It should be how it is down here in West Palm.

Also in Gainesville there is a liquor store that is open till midnight on university. practically at the corner of 13th that i know of so if you need liquor later at night i'd go there.

Gator Beverage only sells liquor till 11 and beer till 2.

I was up in Gville for a show one night at wayward and I went to the liquor store there at midnight and got a bottle of Jack. Unless they recently changed their hours..
