kelly wrote: Yesss cider thread. I hope there's cider 'cause lager makes me bloated to the point where I look pregnant. Makes me tired too for some reason. I had some horrible cider fairly recently, it was Westons Organic First Quality I think. It was flat and room-temperature and tasted like a fart that had been compressed to a liquid. I told the bar man and he didn't appreciate it
westons is awesome cider!
old rosie is a persona fave

Sparks is the most awful thing everrrrrrrr. Makes you feel awful. Colors your tongue orange. Gives you that weird uppers/downers mixed signals stuff. Makes your body hate you.
Give me a cowboy coffee with a shot of bourbon or whiskey, anyday.

That sparks stuff looks like it has bad news written all over it.
I'll be staying well away!
Must say tho, as much as I like cider, I think i'll spend the majority of time trying the various types of beer that I don't have here.

Yeah those Sparks drinks are also really bad for you health-wise if anyone cares about that. In fact most of those flavored malt/girl drinks that are made to taste like soda are pretty bad for you, i.e. smirnoff ice, sparks, mikes hard lemonade etc. I mean beer isn't exactly liquid salad but drinking a Sparks is like eating someones half-digested regurgitated big mac

We call them alcopops over here and I think everyone I've ever tried has given me bad stomach pains after a couple of bottles probably due to the amount of colourings/sugar in them.
Mike's hard lemonade is a hilarious name though so I might have to try it. I can see kids in the UK buying that stuff for the name alone!

Organic cider is posh mans terms for apples that have been stewing in a bath tub until the enamel started peeling off the sides. Probably got you pissed though right?
That it did haha, though I swear it was like poison

Oh man - If they've got Sam Smiths organic over there that's great news. I'm lucky enough that my local, well sort of (well it's where I do all my drinking) is a Sam Smiths pub. They only have two in Wales!!

We've got a Sam Smiths pub near us, just outside of Hull in Beveley. Amazing cider and beer and well cheap also.
It rocks hard.
