Do they care If a bunch of kids are sleeping on the street or in a parked car?
I mean they as in cops, event staff, anyone who would say "no you go pay the money you dont have for a hotel room." Oh and no were not getting a hotel room. It will take us untill the show to maybe get enough money to last unless we bring food from home.

i'm pretty certain that you'd have a much better chance in a parked car then just sleeping on the sidewalk. The thing about being down at the Fest though, if you're a righteous dude or dudette, then you'll find a floor to sleep on. You just can't be shy, it's not the time or the place to be shy, it's the time and place for high fives and hugs.

Please don't group together Fest staff and cops. That's just not right.
This is a city just like any other. Can you sleep in the middle of the street and not get fucked with by cops? Probably not.
Can you find an out of the way spot to park you car and rest for a little while. Of course you can.

I only group together Fest staff and cops cause those are the only two groups i can think of who might be a bit weary. However, i just got a call that we might have a place to stay now with one of the bands

If you're drunk and sleeping in your car make sure the keys aren't in the ignition. Otherwise, should a cop decide to disturb your slumber for whatever reason, they can still get you for DUI. That's how it is around here at least, might be different in Florida.

it's the same here. i've heard of someone getting "preventively" arrested for DUI before.. blows my mind.
