personally nay. If you wanna see gators, there are plenty of tours that will take you out and you can see them in the wild (albeit without the gator wrestling).

there's a cool alligator farm in st augustine. never been to the one linked, but the one in st augustine is pretty dope. like 20 bucks to get in, but they had albino gators. otherwise check out la chua trail here in gville on a sunny afternoon and see TONS of gators. its pretty cool.

if you wanna see gators in a park setting (as opposed to going into the swamp) I think that Silver Springs Nature Park is a lot closer to Gainesville. They got boat rides and monkeys too. I haven't been in years, but I loved it when I was a kid. I used to ride my bike there to swim in the river.

one time there i canoed right into this huge monkey gang war-- two opposing tribes on the opposite sides of the creek, screaming shit at eachother-- monkeys jumping out of trees into the creek, monkeys punching eachother in the face
i had eaten the silly mushrooms a little while before but i swear it was real

I believe it. When i was a kid, once in a blue moon a Monkey would wander away form teh river area and end up in the neighborhoods.
Now there are hardly any monkeys left. Some retarded beuarucrats (ps?) decided all the non-native species had to be gone by some date, but they couldn't just round them up and ship them out, so they sent teams out into the forest to capture and neuter all the male monkeys.

Depends what you're thinking of. Like Jeremy said earlier you could head to Orlando if you wanna do theme parky touristy stuff. Only about 3 hours away by greyhound bus. We did that for a bit after Fest last year.
