Yeah...the pool party was NUTS. Aside from shows, that was probably the high point of the weekend for utter debauchery.

The only thing I like better than debauchery is utter debauchery.

for a loooong time, you couldn't buy bottlerockets or roman candles though, has that changed in the past few years? I think the last time I had bottlerockets they came from out of state.

Fireworks are legal to have, buy, and sell. It is illegal to set off any firework that flies into the air and/or explodes. Fountains, smoke bombs, and those black snake things all day long.

hawkgirl wrote: I encourage Gainesville people to open your homes to Festers coming to town from overseas, across the nation, etc, but use your head/trust your beer gut. Hey Hawkgirl, Imagine seeing you on yet another forum...heh You're smart. Great to mention that Festers should try meeting and socializing with Gvillians more. That's what the Fest needs to emphasize more. Someone local should start a couch surfing forum here. Oh, and if I actually lived in Gville I'd take in as many festers as I could. Too many people want to just trash everything during the Fest. What they don't realize is that THIS is what makes a thing like the Fest be on thin ice with "The City". And what make venues no longer want to take on the Fest. Before you know it, no Fest. PS - They have tall-boy coozies, I saw them in Colorado. Try eBay. gully wrote: Danny Dickhead wrote: Wasn't there a total mob scene at the Holiday Inn last year? I didn't see it myself, just a YouTube video or two, but it looked pretty intense. Are they gonna let that happen again, or is it gonna be crawling with pigs this year or something? Last year the Inn was caught off guard by festers. No one ever knows what Fest is actually like until they experience it, no matter how much you try to describe it. Every year the Holiday Inn is literally taken over by the Fest. But last year was INSANE. Day and night, it was there. Uh yeah, and if you actually NEED to sleep don't stay there. I made that mistake 2 years ago. The people next door were partying until 7am and the next morning the room was literally trashed, everything was broken. But at least I got to sleep in while they forgot about us because of it...heh I honestly am absolutely amazed each year the Holiday Inn wants anything to do with the Fest and that someone hasn't seriously hurt themselves or died, I've heard some crazy stupid stories. That's the same thing I read. But I definitely got a shit ton of fireworks from a giant tent in front of Albertson's one 4th.

When that kid with no shoes or stockings was getting arrested, i tried to get the cop to let me give him my socks, and the cop, after a bit of teasing on my part, actually said "Hey, we got airports all over this great nation where you can fuck off back to wherever you came from".
FUCK YEAH!!

A Vena Cava member recently said they are having some made for this year's Fest. F-yeah!
and hello beautiful
I'm giving the last fella and his friends first dibs on crashing at my house. Then I'm opening it up. I agree more people should get in the spirit of Fest!
