Yo dudes!

A friend and I got a room over at the Cabot Lodge in Gainesville (http://www.cabotlodgegainesville.com/)

I was just curious, has anyone stayed in here before? How is it? It doesn't seem like a long distance from the heart of Fest.

Also, are any other Fest goers also staying here?

It is a nice hotel. They have conference rooms. They will most likely not put up with any late night noise or shenanigans. It is very far from the Fest but there is most likely a late night bus. It is at the end of the strip of chain restaurants known as Archer Road. If you have a hankering for pepper popper margaritas or nacho brownie sundaes you are in the right neighborhood. It is also right next to the Cracker Barrel so you can experience true southern cuisine in a sterile, mono-racial environment.

Cracker Barrel will be nice for breakfast.

You say it's very far from Fest? It seems to be only about 10 minutes from the registration site.... No worries, already talked to a friend who'll be driving me around.

Seems like I'll have to do my late night antics in someone elses' room haha.

Somewhere behind there amidst the oaks is Swamphead Brewery, Fantastic beers, cool little taproom, you can probably walk it from Cabot.

also, ten mins on google maps doesnt quite account for how atrocious traffic can be on Archer, give yourself a little extra if you're worried.

would sound cooler if i was a year older.

and, yeah, i plan on getting to the venues about an hour before they open anyway, maybe earlier to grab food / hang out.
