I'm coming to gainesville without an official ticket so I'll just be paying for a show or two a day. If I get a ticket when the doors open, can I leave the venue and come back later in the day with a wristband or something? Just curious if I'll be stuck inside for ten hours or if smoke/booze breaks will be possible.

Thanks!

To my understanding, most of the venues allow smoking, and drinking. why take a break but to eat or sleep? And my guess is yes, a writstssband will be given no doubt, but why not just by a weekend pass, seems so much less complicated, plus you find all these cool little gems youve never heard of because of your ability to float venue to venue. they're not sold out yet are they?

Yes, you will get a venue-specific wristband which allows you to come and go as you please.... as long as the venue is not at capacity. If you leave and the venue then hits capacity and stays there for the rest of the show, then you've just wasted your money.

You know, the walk-up sales are really meant to accommodate people who live and work in the area and can't get off work for the whole weekend. There are not very many of them available and they are specifically priced to discourage what you intend to do, so if you plan on coming to Gainesville and being here the whole weekend, then you will probably end up feeling a bit shafted if you pursue this plan.

Weekend passes done been sold out, but if you go to the buying/selling wristbands forum, you'll see that lots of people are looking to unload a wristband at the moment, myself included. And I, personally, have never seen or heard of somebody trying to scalp a Fest wristband for more than the official price. Do the math: for a couple extra bucks a day, you can have the run of the place and not have to worry about walk-ups selling out. Or you might even end up saving money.

Where did you see they sold out of weekend passes already? It still lets you add a weekend pass to your cart on the ticket page.

yeah I don't really understand the logic of buying a 1 day wristband. Most Venues are $15-25 per day so you'll be spending the same amount over the weekend as if you bought a weekend pass anyway.

But to answer your question, once you buy a wristband yo can come and go as frequently as you want but remember that just because you have a wristband doesn't mean you can skip the lines to get in. So if you leave make sure you have enough time to get back in for the bands you want to see.

I didn't, I just had a brain fart/ faulty assumption circuit. Was talking out of my ass and didn't even realize it.
