After I bought my pass I tore my Achilles tendon and now will be I. A big boot kinda thing at Fest and may be unable to stand all weekend. Has anyone had a similar experience and is there anything I can do to make the weekend more enjoyable? Simply meaning less painful

i've never been injured at Fest, but there is somewhere to sit in every venue. usually they are highly coveted spots, but if you are injured i'm sure festers wont have a problem with giving up a seat for you. walking between venues is probably going to suck though.

I've had a surgically repaired ankle at a few fests now and its never been a huge issue if you have any sort of pain tolerance. I mean its nothing to write off, but a good blend of alcohol and fun will make it all better. You can always be a few rows back if necessary.
Plus its the Fest. pain is temporary.

I have been in past years, I was mostly just wondering if there was any way to skip some lines and stuff, not to be a dick but to keep me off it when I can

Fest 9 i jumped out of a parking garage and rolled my ankle pretty fucking badly, like shoe does not fit on that foot anymore badly, dont ask why, the answer will always be drugs or alcohol...
walking all the way around town sucked ass, and i had to stop a few times because it takes a lot of energy to favor a destroyed foot/ankle. However, when i was walking with friends and festing my ass off, it became les of an issue, sure my foot still hurt under all that alcohol, but that wasnt as important as the time i was having. i remember even with my ankle shit going on and a greenish purple foot, i was able to keep step with the people i was with on the way to the Frank Turner hotel room show.. we were booking it too..
also, stay a good distance from the pit, or even the stage, think of how many times you have to shift for balance normally at shows, then add the Fest factor. keep your fucked up appendage towards the shitstorm when it comes, youll need the other to counter balance.
and if pain is your main concern, remember, most of pain is mental, so drown those fucking braincells. also remember, you can always tell people that you used to be an adventurer like them...until you took an arrow to the knee
