Goddam that was fast. Last year, at the end of summer and early fall, there were a lot of people looking to fill spots, though. I'm probably coming down alone, so here's hoping I can find someone with an empty spot in the room. If anyone's got an empty spot, let me know! I could pay my share any time.

There will be nearer the time. Keep your eye on this board. If the Hampton drops in price then there may well be a lot as some of us older folks need at least a few hours rest and it's much quieter there. Having said that, if we have to party, we probably party harder than most!

Anybody know if a King room still gets 4 wristbands?

I can't guarantee it but I know my friends had a king room and got 4 in the past without any questions asked. Just tell them you're in a 4 way relationship hence wanting the big bed!

i got a king room the last year i stayed there and we were able to get 4 wristbands with no problem.

Last year we had a room at the Holiday Inn, I think my friend got it through the hotel, NOT the Fest website, and we never got passes to the Hotel show. So heads up, it sucks when it's the only reason you're staying there

No Idea rents out the entire Holiday Inn. To stay there you have to go through them.

I don't remember what the reason was but something weird happened and the room wasn't in my name and we were PISSED

Yeah that is strange as No Idea have been renting out the entire place since Fest 7. Not since Fest 6 have you been able to book direct with Holiday Inn or at least not officially. If you did then it sounds like some at HI made a bit of a cock up!

Just to clarify:
No Idea and The Fest are two different things.

They are both very much intermingled. No Idea is the biggest supporter and sponsor of The Fest. I work for both entities. However, No Idea has absolutely nothing to do with The Holiday Inn or how the Fest is run in general.

I actually didn't know that. It's amazing how many times I've been told that Fest is basically what keeps No Idea's rent paid by 'people in the know' who just so happen to be in no way associated with organising, promoting or attending Fest. A case of sour grapes perhaps!?

WORD. Thats where I'm staying. Eating pizza probably all by myself but others are free to join me for a pizza party (if i cant get a space at the HI, that is)
