It says on the site there 4 official hotels this year but only 3 are listed. Anyone know for sure which one the 4th is?

I'm hoping it's the Hampton Inn as currently they are charging obscene prices for Fest weekend (like 4 times regular rates) so without a Fest deal I doubt anyone will be staying there at all!

There will be 4 hotel options on the ticket ordering page. The Hampton will not be one of them. They won't work with us.

Well that's nice of them! I'm hoping everyone avoids that place this year. They've been nice in the past but the insane price increase this year is a joke. If every business in town did that I'm guessing there would be no Fest at all.

So sad that the Hamptons won't be involved :( Stayed there last year and thought it was awesome. Just a really nice vibe and not as crazy as the Holiday Inn. I guess it'll have to be the Holiday Inn this year as $400 per night is crazy.

Crap. I noticed the Hampton prices a few weeks ago and hoped it was just a fluke and prices would drop.

Gutted. Loved the Hamptons last year mostly for its great placement for running vinyl back to the room and waffle maker. :) Even with 4 of us in a room it would still be super expensive. Ah well lets just hope we get in at Holiday inn.

Does anyone know if when you go to book your hotel if you have to pay upfront or if you pay at check in? I'm talking one of the 4 official Fest hotels.

Because of the deal with have with the hotels you have to pay at the time you place your order. The only thing you have to give them at hotel checkin is a credit card number for incidentals.

Wait, sorry not to be a pain but now I'm confused.

I thought there was only a $20 holding charge when you book.

You have to pay all $500+ when you buy your tickets??

Correct. It's always been that way. The $20 fee is for cancelations.

I've done similar things in the past. If the room you booked seperately the day early is the same room type then just tell them on check in and unless they're being deliberatley difficult then there should be no reason why your friends can't just join you in the same room the following day under the new reservation. If you and the person that booked the Fest room both email the hotel in advance I can't see any reason they'll create any fuss.

The Hampton price this year is insane. Either they don't want us there or they're gouging to an unbelievable extent. I hope people go elsewhere.

I still wanna stay there but won't out of principle unless things change. Their rates are disgusting. I do hope if they stay that high that even those that can afford it still avoid the place.
