Wooooo!

It's happening again! I was pretty bummed that I moved to Chicago and one of the coolest Chicago things got canceled, but it's back on now! Yeah!

I'm so pleased about this! Well not how it came to be but the fact that it's happening as I'd already spent a non refundable £750 (over a thousand bucks) on airfare and accommodation.

Do you have any news on who's playing yet? I know it's gonna be the Friday and Sunday at SubT but that's all I know so far.

Also what's the word on Weaselfest? Cancelled or is Ben weasel trying to find people who'll still play?

No bands have been announced yet. I doubt any of the bands that dropped from Weasel Fest prior to the WCSC announcement will be playing, since they probably canceled their travel plans. I know that's true of Teenage Bottlerocket and The Soviettes, which is a bummer.

I'm also stoked on the Marked Men show on Saturday!

Actually a bunch of bands have been announced but so far no Weaselfest bands. Can't remember all of them but they include Dopamines and Brokedowns amongst others.

Chixdiggit may still do a Saturday day show and The Queers and some of the smaller Weaselfest bands are still playing Reggies on the Sunday.

If anyone can get me 2 Marked Men tickets for the Saturday show from anywhere I'd very much appreciate it!

Yeah, I found this out last night...I know Transgressions are playing too. And Mikey Erg, The Turkeltons, The Slow Death, The Brokedowns and Be My Doppelganger...and maybe Vacation Bible School?

As far as the Marked Men show goes...I probably won't be able to buy my tickets till I get paid next, but I'll try.

Saturday Marked Men show is sold out so if you don't have tickets you're screwed like we are! There's a Sunday Marked Men show too but without all the other great bands.

Yeah, I think all those bands were on the list I saw. I was hoping for Shot Baker too but it seems that's not gonna happen.

Have you been to Kumas on a Saturday night!? We'd probably have to stand in line all day just to get in! Kumas hangouts must happen sometime when I'm over though!

Actually this could be a great idea. As I remember it Kumas isn't a million miles away from the Empty bottle so we could go there in the day then head to the Marked Men show early and see if we can get a ticket on the door. We may get lucky.

...although there's rumoured to be a Chixdiggit show in the day and if that happens then that's where I'll be!

Its such a hard choice though, cause, technically its early enough that you could make both shows, but if you ran from SubT to The Bottle you will not be there early enough to get the supposed "limited tickets available at doors."

Yeah true but I'm not taking the risk of missing both so will watch Chixdiggit then take my chances. A couple of years ago at Riot Fest we gambled by leaving leaving the 'secret' Pegboy gig at Liars Club to try and catch the 'secret' Bottlerocket gig at Cobra Lounge and ended up missing both bands! I'm not making that mistake again!!
