Went to the WGOT benefit show at Loosey's (formerly Market Street) last night. A buncha comedians opened up the show and they were alright, I suppose. Then this instrumental rock group Moyamoya went on, and them guys were pretty good. Crash Pad was next and were as bombastic as I'd remembered 'em, helluva set from those fellas. Grabass Charlestons closed out the night and hafta say...think the Charlestons sound even better now as a four piece, no doubt.
Basically...was a good show, all around.

Basically...was a good show, all around. I've only seen them once as a 4-piece, but yeah, I like it better. I never get out of the house anymore. It would have been great to see Crashpad again. I love old punkers. Brian was already old the last time I saw them, over 10 years ago!

Towers of Hanoi had their last show last night at the Atlantic. Some girl named Julie Karr opened things by doing some acoustic songs that weren't too bad. Then this band, Chill Wizard, went on. Had a real heavy doom metal vibe to what they were doing. Ghastly City Sleep, who were next...not sure what I thought of their set. And then there was Towers...hadn't seen them guys (and gal) in years so a lot of the songs they did, I wasn't too familiar with. But I was pleased to see they still sounded as good as they did years back. Plus they closed with "Torn Jeans", one of their best songs if y'all ask me. And for some reason, their guitarist decided to eff up his instrument soon afterwards. Surprised he didn't leave a friggin' hole in that stage.
