Hi everyone

I'm going to be Orlando next week and Gainesville the week after besides the obvious are there any places / shows I should check out. I realise the timings not great with SXSW being on so shows might be in short supply but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've been to Fest! a couple of times so am aware of the usual bar, restaurants in Gainesville.

Thanks in advance

Gaz

I live in Orlando and have no idea what to do. I don't think there are any good shows next week.

As for Gainesville shows check here:

Should be a great night. Also, if you fancy liquor (as both of those bars are beer/saki only), Wally's across the street is the place. They had a $3 Jameson deal through tonight at least. You know, if it's your thing.

Gaz, you could always kill some time over at Pointe Orlando...they got eateries, stores, music, movies, all that junk.

Where exactly are you by in Orlando? 30 min drive makes it seem like you're down closer to Kissimmee or UCF. I don't think Lynx busses will be running if you go to a show. and Taxi rates are generally like $2.00 to get in and $2.40 per mile.

Yeah I'm down near Kissimmee we wanted to do the parks as well. Looks like I need to get a Lynx bus to Disney then from there to down town either that or it's about a $55 taxi ride each way.

Sadly not but I'm up in Gainesville today so I'm goin to see Whiskey Co. at the Atlantic tonight. Guess I'll have to wait till Fest! 10 to see Chris Wollard though. Cheers for the thought though dude.
