i wasn't originally planning on going to pre-Fest in Tampa but I really want to see some of the bands and i gotta catch New Mexican Disaster Squad play one more time before Fest. So if i stay overnight is it going to be a hassle with pre-Fest festivities (such as getting around Tampa) because it'll be during a time where there is a possbility that the Tampa Bay Rays are hosting game 6 & 7 (last 2 games) of the World Series in Tampa.

so as not to root for either the Phillies or Tampa Bay Rays i'm going to assume both these former loser teams will take us to a game 6 (oct. 29th) and game 7 (oct. 30th)... but as a kid who wants to visit Tampa but without no vacany at hotels and car-flipping rioting, should I just drive from Orlando to Tampa each night?

as far as sports go, there were fewer times i've ever been happier.

for some reason tampa doesn't seem like a car-flipping city, but will probably cost and an arm and leg to get a hotel now

the rays aren't in Tampa, they're in St. Petersburg. there shouldn't be any problems getting a hotel room in tampa. st. pete probably.

as for car flipping riots, the one thing st. pete loves, is a reason to riot. look no forward than the race related riots in the late '90's/ early 00's.

I've seen a cop car flipped on Univ Ave in front of what is The Venue now. A hip-hop show canceled and there was a fucking riot, no lie. It was NUTS! I drove by just as it happened. I saw the windows smashed with pool balls and got the hell out of there.

I'd think that the hotels that folks from the Fest would be staying at are a far cry from those that the average World Series inhabitant would stay at. You should be fine.
