Now that the official list is out, and the confirmed thread is sub-dividing like a petri dish of E-Coli, lets get back to basics with a flagrantly unsubstantiated rumour mill thread about who's is 'supposed', 'almost certainly' 'told me they would..' 'bound to' and 'just plain HAVE to' play any of the related goings-on around the Fest.
This means house shows, pre-shows, record shop appearances, post-fest, street corner jams, flat-bed truck shows.. none of it has to be backed up by any scientific evidence or cold hard facts, but if you heard someone said so-and-so would be in town to play, then let us know and speculate wildly about the possibilities of such events...
..y'know, for fun.

I heard The Smiths were playing The Reitz Union during the Fest under the name of "The Joneses" and it will only be open to UF students.

There should definitely be a covers bands house show. In fact there should be covers bands of rumoured headlining bands who didnt make the list, if anyone could do an ALL/DESCENDENTS covers band would make my day.

Comadre said they could do a Refused set, which would be a lot of fun.

I'd like to come down from Canada a few days early if there are some good house shows/pre-fest shows going on, but I can't afford to spend a week in a hotel. Hopefully I can work something out.

I'm sure I was in Wayward on the Thursday night, but I don't remember that.

The show I saw was at Common Grounds by a Gville SW tribute band. The singer has since moved far, far away. That show was previously discussed somewhere here. I can't remember their name at all.
