Hey. I'm buying plane tickets tonight to either go to tampa or gainesville on Thursday of the Fest. Which is better?
I'm also debating if it would be worth it to rent a car. I'm trying to keep costs low but if I have to splurge I'm going to. I hate travelling with a fiery passion but I'm not going to miss this because of lack of foresight.
Where could I stay on short notice? I wasn't aware I'd have to book hotels in February or March or whenever this shit opened. Seems a tad rediculous to me but I'm not very good at planning these sorts of things.

I found a decent room at the red roof inn. It was around 50 dollars a night. It is 4 miles from the check inn hotel.

I heard the american best value inn is booked, check days inn thats acorss the street or call the rush lake motel... rush lake doesn't have an online reservation, so a lot of interantaionals probably just book the other two instead of calling

econolodge is right across from the paramount. its like 55 a night or so... dont think its all booked up yet. its a decent spot. good neighborhood. easy walk to venues. Roughly a half hour. so probably about a mile and a half or so from holiday inn.

I'm flying into Tampa on the 27th with 2 other people. Our flight gets there at 11:40pm, if anyone else is flying into tampa I'd be down to split cab or rent a car, whatever it takes.
