I think the price hike MAY be because lots of schools announced half term, resulting in lots of families trying to get to Florida?
I seem to remember this causing upset with flight prices for me last year.

Damn Well the best I can get right now is €750 from Dublin. Sickened, because that exact fare got me to San Fransisco a few years ago. EDIT: This seems to have just been a constant downward spiral. The €750 flights on ebookers are now selling fast and there's only 1 ticket left for each one. Might have to revert back to plan A and just fly Dublin->Chicago->Jacksonville. Damn flights, you're giving me a headache!

We're booking tonight, going to go with the flights to Jacksonville. €650 + €44 for a taxi to Gainesville. Actually cheaper than flying direct to Gainesville from Dublin atm.

Flights are booked. Jacksonville ahoy! Flights with Delta from Heathrow have now come down hugely in the past couple of hours but I think we'd only save about €20 going directly to GNV because we would still have to fly to Heathrow from Dublin. Ah well, I'm happy. Can't wait!!!

cool cool cool!! I used Runways for Fest 8 and thought there were a couple of other such companies but maybe I was wrong/they've ceased to exist also. I'm flying into GNV so I'm planning to get a taxi myself. Maybe post a thread separate from here seeing if other Festers are driving from wherever you're flying to, there's bound to be some and I'm sure people have space.
