Got a favorite one/ one you hate/ one that should happen again?
The Venue side stage is super cool of course and I really liked the Spin Cycle. I don't care too much for that redneck bar that Defiance Ohio played last year though. Also really liked that Cam's Cove place from two years ago that a bunch of d-beat bands played at, that place should come back.

The floor is so slanted at The Venue that I have a decent view no matter where I stand. I also like that it keeps the pit away from me. Unfortunately, you still get those a-holes who think it's super cool to go flying through the crowd because their favorite mosh tune started. I really hate getting slammed into by you guys. Cut it out. Again, the stage at Common Grounds is pretty high, which is plus when you're 5'2. The Kickstand was just weird. It was like walking onto the set of a post-apocalyptic movie. And the stage looked like the inside of Noah's Ark. I thought Durty Nelly's was awesome. It had a bar next to the table area that I could sit on and give my feet a break. I could also see everything from up there. Also, Flaco's hosting acoustic sets was super cool. Food, Mountain Dew and intimate sets all in one place! Call me a wuss, but the Side Stage is too freaking loud. Market Street was fun, but after a crowd formed it was hard to get near the stage.

I miss the Kickstand as a year-round venue, but I wasn't crazy about it during Fest.
I hate the sound at 8 Seconds, and and I'm too old to put up with crowds that size.
Went to Rum Runners for the first time last year, it was pretty cool. Very small though.
Acoustic at Flaco's was cool, but a little weird sometimes.
I REALLY miss Market Street. Perfect mid-size, raised sideline areas, great for hardcore bands.
During the rest of the year, I go to The Atlantic a lot, but their entry policies during The Fest need a lot of work. They were turning people away at the door, but reports from inside said it was only half full.
I also miss Durty Nelly's being part of Fest.
Mars Laser Tag seems like a cool place for shows, although I haven't been to one there yet. Maybe this weekend.

Spin Cycle was great. I went to an aftershow there at Fest 8 and it was a bit odd, but for the proper gigs at Fest 9 it was brilliant.
The sound absolutely sucked every time I went to Rum Runners.

Love:
Common Grounds. Probably my favorite venue ive been to in G-ville. too band its always packed during Fest.
Market Street: Pretty small imo but I love this place in general and whenever I have downtime I usually end up here.
The Atlantic is good even when its "full" still has a lot of room inside which is good because most of the hardcore bands i usually want to see play here and it gives it enough room to dance/mosh/whatever
Like:
Venue: I have a love/hate relationship with this place. I HATE THE GOD DAMNED STAIRS. I'm usually drunk and its pitch black in there im lucky I make it out of there alive. Plus when the bigger bands play the stairs give little to no room for moshing. soo many people packed in between the stage and the stairs.
Dislike:
The Kickstand, The little independent book store, and Wayward
I don't usually end up at 1982 and missed out on 8 seconds last year so I dont really have an opinion on them.

Common Grounds, just for its punch. Although the amount of time I've spent outside CG has rather soured my opinion.
And The Kickstand as it was so damn novel.

Awww, Civic Media Center's shows are always so beautiful. Strike Anywhere acoustic seriously could have brought me to tears if I was on my period.

IF I had to pick just one favorite it would be Durty Nelly's....sucked not to have it for this past Fest.
Least favorite would have to be The Kickstand.....couldn't see the stage if you were not up front, long walk, etc.

My favorites are probably Common Grounds cause there is a place to hang out and sit outside and The Atlantic even though it's tough to get in. 1982 is pretty cool but they never seem to have bands I want to see there. Least favorite venue was the Kickstand because thats where all the crusty kids would hang out and you couldn't see or hear anything.

Civic Media Center was great last year. So many good shows, and I really like the space/everybody working the space.
Common Grounds, 1982, Market Street and Spin Cycle are favorites, too.
Not too fond of the big venues. Have never actually made it inside The Atlantic.

The Venue: Not too bad. Wish they had a bigger floor down front though. Best sounding venue.
Common Grounds: My favorite there. Porch outside to hang out and drink. Plus it's got Five Star Pizza next door.
8 Seconds: I like a litter better than the Venue with size. Buuuuuut, the sound is not that great.
The Atlantic: Waaaaaay too hard to get into it. But I do like it. They seem to play Dead Snow all time I'm in there though.
Market Street Pub: Pretty good too. Other than having to be 21 or older, didn't have a problem getting in. Hopefully they bring it back this year. I know they used it on Sunday last year very last minute.
1982: Pretty fun place. Was there most of Friday last year. Played their video games half the time.

Yeah, it was weird this year, Common Grounds was largely fixed in terms of queues (except at the start of the day, missing Red City Radio was really annoying - why only open 10 minutes before they started playing when people have been queueing for an hour?), but the Atlantic was broken as a result.
