This is great! Glad to see us old farts will be representing at The Fest.

There are definitely advantages to being the older, wiser, and somewhat wealthier. Beer money won't be a problem and I'm already scouting for good restaurants in the area. Dragonfly Sushi is on my list so far. I'm staying at the Hampton, so it's a short walk.

I'm @mikeisflash on Twitter if anyone wants to stalk or meet up at The Fest.

I am thirty one and this will be my first Fest. Glad to see I will not be the only old creepy fart in the crowd.

I was in my 20's when punk and new wave was born. If I loved The Ramones in 1979 why wouldn't I like Teenage Bottlerocket in 2011? For the record, I'm 54. This will be my first Fest.

Fair play to you!

In the spirit of the thread, I do think Fest attracts a slightly older crowd than ordinary gigs.

I saw Danarchy at the Frank Turner show the other night. I don't know exactly how old he is, but he is probably in the top 1% of all ancient punks still going to shows.

I just turned 30. 5th Fest.

My buddy Ryan who runs Hex Records based out of Syracuse, NY, I believe he's going, has gone multiple years, and he is 33. He has a blast every year.

Honestly though, I feel no different at all. I fully believe you're only as young as you feel and especially more so in punk rock.

I'm the tender age of 26 but I do know of some of our peeps going over from sunny Wales who are 30+.

And in terms of Fest bands, surely any young uns going to see Iron Chic would be completely missing the point?
