Going to the Fest with 3 other people any advice or recommendations on where to stay this late in the game. I got my ticket kinda late and couldn't get in the Holiday Inn, where I stayed before. Are there campgrounds, other hotels open or any place we can stay? Any information or help would be cool. Thanks!

my friends and i are in the same situation. unfortunately i dont think it's going to be possible to find a room in any of the hotels on the main drag. if you'll have a car with you though i'm sure the hotels down by the mall will have vacancies.
edit: check choicehotels.com or any other similar website. i'm going through the list now to find one that isnt too far away and wont destroy my wallet.

I hear ya on that. Me and my buddies were thinking about bringing our tents and setting up shop somewhere. Not sure yet though. Might start to smell bad after the first day. haha

I might have some room at the hampton inn. As long as you don't mind sleeping in a bed with a random dude off the internet. It's expensive, but boy is it convenient.

I got the last room about a month ago after the price had gone up to $60 no more rooms at the econolodge? when I registered on the website it said "LAST ROOM AVAILABLE" in big red letters. I grabbed it since America's Best Value Inn and Days Inn seemed to both be fully booked as well.

Thanks! I got a camp site at Paynes Prarie State Park which is about 15 minutes from The Florida Theater of Gainesville venue. The cost for $20 a night and you can have up to 8 people per campsite reserved. You have to register through http://www.reserveamerica.com There are only 6 campsite available right now for the 28th and only one for the 29th. Hope this helps. http://www.reserveamerica.com/campsiteSearch.do
