What oversale? They won't have sold any more than total capacity. Prioritise, dude, it's the key to Fest, because you just can't see everything you want to and you'll only bum yourself out if you worry about it too much.

oversale? If they sell more tickets than JUST ONE venue holds, that's oversale. Another 300 people isn't going to make a difference whether or not you get into any one particular venue.
I never had trouble getting into 8 Seconds at any point last year, though I imagine the line will move slowly right when they open the doors.

yep, first band of the day will be the issue everywhere i reckon, came a cropper in queing for dear landlord and iron chic at 8secs and CG respectively.
It's amazing what an extra person doing ID checks can do! If only they thought of such novel ideas...
my 'must make it' dash will be from venue to 8 secs for PBC after HWM...will be edging towards the back as they close their set. Def been a late change there too cos Chris told me a few weeks ago that PBC were on the friday venue line up.

I missed Fest 9, so I don't have any experience going there. I mean, it's bigger than Common grounds. How bad could it really be? Edit: GiveBlood wrote: oversale? I never had trouble getting into 8 Seconds at any point last year, though I imagine the line will move slowly right when they open the doors. I got in line at least 30 minutes before DL's set started at Fest 9 and waited through the set (they were 8 Seconds' first band that day). Unless they've fixed their door issues, if you want to see their first band, you need to get in line stupid early. There were maybe 60 people in the room by the time I got in.

posting to say that I never had ANY trouble getting into 8 seconds any time I went, which on Friday between Torche/Kylesa/etc I literally went back and forth between there like 3 times for food/to see hostage calm at that lazer tag joint/etc. I didn't go there saturday to be fair but when I went to go see Shook Ones right after make do and mend last year I literally didn't wait in line at all. So should be fine.

8 seconds lines weren't bad, but like every venue they seemed to open doors when the first band started. i doubt iron chic and dear landlord were at capacity last year. i hope this year they open doors at least an hour early (which makes sense)...

With this in mind, maybe venues should open doors a bit earlier. I'm happy to hang around in an empty venue for an extra half hour if it means I don't have to worry about getting there super-early to make sure I get in in time.
Actually just looking over the schedule, at the Venue at least they seem to have done that depending on who's playing. Also I just realised, is the side hatch at the venue not being used this year? Certainly that could help with lines there in itself.
