I heard/was under the impression that PBR was owned by Miller Light. "ownership" of certain types of breweries is a tricky question. On paper, The Pabst Brewing Company is owned by C. Dean Metropoulos, but they have a contract with Miller to manufacture it for them. Sort of like if you started a Generic Insight Clothing Company, but rather than buying the equipment to make the shirts, you paid Cafe Press to print them. And then of course Metropoulos had to borrow money to purchase Pabst, and most of THAT financing came from GE. So does the person living in a house own it, or does the bank he owes the mortgage to?
