So who's looking for a cheap room? I work for choice hotels, and get sweet hotel deals whenever i travel. I can book up to two rooms at a seriously discounted rate. last year i spent 4 nights in a quality inn and my employee rate was $35/night, and my total bill was just under $160, which is what some people were paying nightly.
i can book up to two rooms under the discounted rate. one would be mine, but the other one is up for grabs. so........... yeah. let me know.

depends. i would have to check which hotel would get me the best discount and vicinity and whatnot. i wouldnt even be able to book it until about august. so id be doing my research around then. choicehotels covers like 8 different hotel chains, so it would work for any of them

Will booking it around August mean you'd be at the mercy of what's already booked out?

For anyone else reading this later:
Rush Lake has always been worth the money and you can pretty much get away with anything. It's the party hotel for those who can't afford the official party hotel. Plus, it's the perfect drunk walk distance from the venues. You can make reservations now, but they'll lose them. Call back a month or two in advance.
Zen hostel is the no-party cheap option. Be respectful though...it's a pretty rad place.

I would like to take this oppertunity to make plans for a late-night Rush Lake pool party, if I end up staying there. That place is nice and cheap, and right across the street from Steak and Shake!

Red Roof Inn was pretty cheap. $70 a night. But you need a car to get to the venues from there.

Me and my girlfriend would like to split a room with some people. we're flying and won't have a car so somewhere near the venues is preferred. what are good/semi cheap hotels!?
