Last years Fest was great, but there wasn't any shit-your-pants-fuck-me-jesus-I-cant-believe-theyre-playing headliners. Here's my suggestions for some headliner that would cause some heads to explode:
LEATHERFACE- Come on, is there any real reason we haven't seen them at the Fest. Half the bands on the Fest are leatherface ripoffs, lets get the real deal. Someone buy Grandpa Stubbs a plane ticket so he can show us how it's done.
DESCENDENTS- This one's a stretch, but it could happen. They should be forced to play the same bill as the ERGS, because lets face it at this point the ERGS can probably out DESCENDENTS the DESCENDENTS.
PEGBOY- The reunited for a show last summer, why not now. I'm sure if you bought Larry a case of beer and got him some time off from the construction site they'd do it. While you're at it, get NAKED RAYGUN too, they're playing shows again.
CHEAP TRICK- Alright, maybe they wouldn't fit in, but I think I would have more fun just knowing that Rick Nielson was there.
AVAIL- Ten bucks says Tim Barry is probably already playing, just bring the rest of the band too.
OPERATION IVY- This would be big, just make Tim Armstrong sign an agreement stating that he will not play material from any of his other horrendous bands(I'm looking at you Transplants).
STEVE EARLE- because he's punker than your mother.

Haha, yeah. Jawbreaker reunion & Leatherface. I'd give up one limb, of the promoters discretion, for that bill!

Steve Earle man, all the way. He played a show here last year, just him and the guitar, and it was waaaaaaay punker than 90% of the bands last Fest (yes north lincoln, i'm looking at you)

Who just started playing shows....
And someone should contact the Weakerthans and point out that Fest having corporate sponsorship from PBR and that shoe company is a lot less sell out than having a song on the fuckin wedding crashers soundtrack.
That's right, i went there.
