...has anyone stayed at this place before? anyone know how it is? i think i might have read in another thread about people staying here at previous Fests. but anyways, me and a bunch of friends are planning on getting 2 rooms here for the Fest. on the site it says that each room is 5 people max...there are 15 of us. sneaking in an extra 5 peeps in 2 rooms shouldn't be hard right?

Firstly its a fucking long way away from the Fest!!! But the actual place was cool- pretty cheap, clean, pool, booze nearby, Western World cowboy shop next door etc. etc. We sneaked a couple of extra people in and no-one noticed. If you LOVE walking or taxis I'd say book up!

and no worries about the walk...we are also renting a 15-passenger van cause we'll be coming from the Fort Lauderdale airport

how long by foot?? and whats western world cowboy??

It took us 3 hours to walk it! There was no other Festers there so it wasn't really a party place, but it was cheap and a good place to get your head down. Western World is a cowboy store that sells everything a modern day cowboy could ever want, jeans, shirts, horses, boots etc.

Yeah I think so Matt- there was 7 of us travelling together last year and I think there's at least another 3 that are definately coming.....

Have you booked flights and all that jazz yet? I'm playing the waiting game and hope the prices come down

pretty much everywhere appears to be around the £350 mark so i dunno if it'll get better or worse with time?

We paid £320 last year- but that was into Gainesville, I've been searching and I've seen about £340 to Tampa- but then we need to get 10 or so people to Gainesville!!

If there was only a couple of us I'd book up flights to Tampa now and try to bully some people on here to give us a lift up

yeah, there's so far only 2 of us going from here, what dates you thinking of going?

it looks like going for a whole week is cheapest, at least where i've been looking, so we'll probably do a wednesday til wednesday or something

I've said it before and i'll say it again, me and a bud are flying into florida (orlando/tampa/jax whatever) and renting a car to get to gainesville, and if there's enough people, i'll rent a minivan and we can split the price. We'll be flying in on the thursday.

I'm easy, we're flying into NYC on the friday... which would give us four days.. but we have a free apartment in nyc... carry the y... Hmmm, leave it with me.
