Fest always leaves me with mysterious injuries. where are yours?

Fest 4, Ben Snakepit dropped a guitar on my head and I got dragged out of sidebar bleeding all over myself wondering what the fuck had just happened, so "hit in the head" was my first option. But I severely doubt that will ever happen again.

I'm too short to get bruised shins, but my knees are fucked.

And three days after Fest, I still can't talk. That was my winner.

blisters so bad that i actually went 'fuck it' and missed SBB because it was too painful to walk anymore. plus the insane bites that were exclusively between the sockline and the knee.

plus wierd band regret only amplified by having a dream that SBB's bass player dropped dead last night.

i'm so fucking hoarse from all those shows. i lost most of my voice during the shows at the venue on saturday, and then lost the rest at common grounds and the venue sunday. small brown bike particularly killed me.

now i am at work at my stupid desk job and all my coworkers think i have the plague or something. i keep saying (whispering) that i'm not sick but none of them believe me.

doesnt help that i made it out to see that avail show in baltimore last night and now i'm even more hoarse.

After Sunday night I had ZERO voice whatsoever. Totally worth it.

I'm a teacher, and I still couldn't talk at 100% on Tuesday, so I told my kids I was sick all weekend and that's why I was out Friday and Monday.

Mine are a tie between missed bands and fucked up throat.

i think exhaustion should be one of them. i think i made myself sick. and my throat is fucked up from screaming so hard during small brown bike.

i got burnt accidentally by one of davey tiltwheels cigarettes and its looking really weird now. hm.

At the Monotonix show I was elbowed in the lip pretty hard and had a full tall can of Old Milwaukee hit me in the shoulder from across the room.

i thought i was going to the hospital on sunday. I obviously hadn't really slept all weekend, and only ate sporadically. I didn't eat at all on Sunday and drank all day, then while we were playing our set, my left hand started to go all pins and needles and i started to get really light headed. I almost passed out after our set and went to get some food, once i got there i couldn't even eat.

i got kicked in the face during toys that kill by a crowd surfer. my glasses fell into a sea of moshing. i remember thinking well fuck i better bend down and pick those up, next thing i know some guy is pulling me up under my shoulders because i was about to be pounded into the floor (im pretty sure my glasses were already in a pieces). i was blind the rest of the Fest. the show was awesome though. glasses well spent.

where's the "feet so sore you try to come up with ways to sit down and mosh" option? that and a head-butt to the face/cheek/nose are all i remember happening.

i got nailed in the mouth by some dudes fist but it wasnt intentional so whatever, nothin too nasty hapened to me or my friends bc we are too hardcore to be injured we are the untouchable gods of slam dancin
