So, how easy is it to score drugs. Coming from VA, i don't want to drive through GA with drugs, those cops are fucking crazy. God, i could go for some weed, pills, or maybe some booger sugar when i get down there. I feel like some motivated drug dealer should set up a table at the Fest flea market.

I've been waiting for something like this to come up, because I didn't want to be the first one to go, "DRUGS AH HUR HUR HUR" but now . . .
DRUGS AH HUR HUR HUR
How bad are the cops in Georgia? I don't know if I can get through a sixteen hour drive without ganja, but I also don't want my entire van incarcerated.

I've never been pulled over in GA, but i've heard many stories from other people in bands that got pulled and because they were in one of them devil rock and roll bands they got their van torn apart. There's one certain band that ended up welding a steel box to the bottom of their van to hide their stash in.

My friends and I were thinking of putting together something like that, but had to opt for a rental. The steel box idea is brilliant, though, and the vehicle we're taking down for Fest VII will definetly have one or more secret drug compartments.
Another idea was to get a suitcase ala Thompson, but that was snuffed out due to funding concerns.

Georgia cops = evil
talking about drugs on a forum = stupid
let's get a bunch of undercovers posing as us to fuck the weekend up...bad idea. just elude and private message...then talk specific bad words in person...you know email isn't even safe anymore? Seriously, they just passed a law that anything online...anything...doesn't require a wiretap warrant anymore. just be careful...that's all.

Yeah, in all honesty, it's not very smart. What with the PATRIOT Act and all.
But goddammit, it's so fucking hard not to talk about it . . . guh. Patience is wearing thin.
Also, "Booger sugar" is the best fucking thing I've ever heard.

I've seen a couple of my friends get arrested for drugs at Fest over the years. Not too cool for them. I'm not passing judgement cuz, hell, I'll be right there in the thick of it but I will say that if you are planning to have a good, cop free time in Gainesville, this is not the best way to start. Get drugs like people have gotten them for years...Make some friends, party, keep your eyes open and be discreet. Who cares if you go to jail...think of the shows your friends will miss trying to bail your dumb ass out.
This Topic should disappear quickly.

It's the battle between the rational part of my brain, which says, "observe standard low-key, non-attention-grabbing behavior regarding narcotics" and the other part, the one that goes, "WHOOOOO!!!"

I really don't see the FBI getting involved in a few dudes smoking a bowl or whatnot, though then again, i'm the least paranoid person on the planet, almost to a fault

I dunno, it's more about how oblivious you want to believe the cops actually are. Considering this board isn't password protected, there could be pigs reading . . . this . . . right . . . now . . .
OHSHIT!
