It's just that as we don't do it here I wanna make sure I tip what is seen to be right seeing as we are just visitors to your town if you know what I mean. On a more serious note though, I did get the impression last year that the bar staff appreciated being tipped rather than just taking it for granted as we felt in some other places so I have no problem with it.

In restaurants where you sit down and eat, if you don't want to bother yourself with the math of adding 15-20% of the total bill, you can just double the tax added to your bill and tip that amount. Thats roughly 15%.
