there seems to be a whole bunch of people travelling down through various parts of florida to get to gainesville at different times, and its all a bit confusing. especially as i dont know the area geography at all.
as i've mentioned in other posts, im going to be arriving at Orlando International at 6pm on tuesday the 23rd. If ANYONE is going through that area and is able to either give me a ride or even come pick me up, i will pay you the petrol money and probably give yo a massive hug for saving my life.
I dont know what im going to do about getting back to Orlando on the monday in time for my check in at 3pm but I've seen Planes, Trains And Automobiles and i dont want to be that guy.
Please, help me.. either with the afformentioned lift or good advice as to where to get a shuttle service or something

I found that just by searching in google for "gainesville shuttle"
You should be able to find something from that site or at least by a simple search on google.

yeah i found a bunch, but they seemed pretty sketchy for a supposedly 'legit' company.. not even .com sites y'know, but some free hosting site/shuttle4U etc.. i dont feel too keen about sitting here a million miles away paypal-ing $150 dollars to some guy in his garage
the one you found is by far the cheapest and most 'real-looking' though, thanks mate!

What about getting the Greyhound? It only seems to be about $50 return.

I just talked to Rich from Grizzley Ends at the Lumuria gig tonight and he's flying into Tampa and hiring a car. I've got no idea how far that is from Orlando but if you think it may help you out then message me and I'll put you in touch with him.

I don't think you go through orlando to get to tampa... Inanyways, i'll be hiring a car to get back to orlando on monday to fly out tuesday, so i'll give you a lift. Is it 3pm check in? That means we'll have to leave at 1pm... Tough. Ah, we'll make it work.

You can. I-4 runs straight down to Tampa. So if you're coming in on Thursday and want to check out the pre-Fest show in Tampa...it's a two hour drive or so from the airport (take 417(toll) to I-4 to avoid rushhour traffic though. Then straight up I-75 to G'ville.
But to go straight to G'ville from Orlando, take Florida's Turnpike(toll) to I-75

For some reason I thought Tampa and G'ville were the other way round. What an education.

shit man, i totally forgot to look out for you. cool gig though, they played across town afterwards with this one band who sounded like The Young Pioneers crossed with The Wipers, and then this guy who looked exactly like Greg Sage got up on stage, (wearing a Wipers shirt no less!) and they became the next band, who were also brilliant. strange random evening!

Which gig were you at? The London one in Elephant and Castle? I was there but sick as hell after a few too many the night before in Guildford! So did you make it over to Stockwell? Did you see Red Dons play? I saw them Saturday and they were fucking amazing!
