I wore a few different costumes out at The Fest V and people kept coming up to me asking, "why are you wearing a costume?"?! It seemed like everyone was in their typical street clothes and didn't care or weren't aware of... Halloween.

Being that this year's The Fest will again be taking place during the weekend before Halloween, I was wondering if there would be any Halloween/costume themes? The Fest 6 will be monopolizing pretty much all of the local Gainesville live venues for the weekend and it would be a shame if there were no Halloween-themed parties and/or live shows.

i had a costume last year but lost it the first night. if theres a theme this year, id be down to do it for a night

I am going as a fat guy with a drink in my hand. I am not sure if I will have a shirt.

I'm hoping to have a similar costume except mine will involve nudity, a drink, and a gutter. I'll be that guy, no one steal my idea.

Oh man, wouldn't it be funny if a lot of us dressed up in the same costume?

How about we get a bunch of dudes to go as guys in their 20's with beards wearing black shirts with the names of bands on them, and we'll all be really drunk. That would be so funny.

All the hubub, heat, and relentless intoxication of the Fest makes it very difficult to craft the elaborate Halloween costumes upon which I pride myself (you can check out my Joker and Two-Face costumes in my myspace profile if you so desire). Last year I just accented my usual couterie with an obnoxiously large cowboy hat. Boy nothing says "I just stage dove on you" quite like wearing a garish hat. The hat ate it during the Ergs set, but was in fact immortalized at about 14 seconds into this video:
