Just curious if anyone is going to the St. Pete date. I think its the 23rd. I figured someone on these boards would be going.
I'll be hitting it up by myself this year and I don't know anyone on that side of the coast so just tossin the idea out there.
My parents decided that the whole fam should get together for that weekend and go do whatever there is to do in Tampa area. So I'm stealing the friday from the vacation and hitting up warped.

I thought about it... just for Andrew WK and Face to Face. But I just have horrible memories of Warped Tour in the heat, the food and drinks being so expensive, and all those young kids there make me nuts, even though I was one of them once. I decided not participating in that madness some years back was a good plan and I should stick to it.

we played the warped tour for like a week last year, it was fucking maddening. there's always like 3 good bands playing and a million fucking shitty ones, i saw brokencyde 3 times last year because their stage was set up near our merch tent, and it's a bunch of shit bands selling slutty clothes and booty shorts to 14 year old girls. we just felt dirty being there.

I am not going(if I do go) to that particular date, but have been debating whether it is worth it to attend. I count maybe 5 bands I'd be willing to see, and 2 I really want to see(Riverboat Gamblers and Far From Finished). I honestly don't know if that is worth 43 bucks and a drive around DC during morning rush hour.

I think the last year I went was 2003. It mostly sucked. I can only imagine it has gotten worse. Unlike The Fest, which keeps getting better.

I got a soft spot for that place no matter what's goin down there. And then you can just orange line that shit right in.

Ever since I have paid attention to Warped Tour(which was probably 2005) it has either been at Nissan Pavilion or Merriweather Post Pavilion. As someone who lives a few miles from Nissan Pavilion, I wish it would be there. But in terms of centrality, they should used RFK. When did they use RFK? Merriweather is way out there.

It was at RFK in '98, but I'm not sure past then. Maybe they stopped doing events in the parking lot or something. And yeah, Merriweather is far from everything except Columbia, just like Nissan is far from everything except Manassas.
