What's the best way to travel?
Is a taxi going to be too expensive, or is it a more sensible option than, say, a bus?

I just looked into it. the number 25 bus goes up to the airport. and will bring you right downtown. probably your cheapest option.

There's cabs at the airport usually, or you can call one, the fare wasn't bad I think it was like $15 or something, which is even cheaper if you're splitting with people.
I remember looking into the buses and the spot where the bus drops you off at is a pretty decent walk to the hotel so I'm opting for a cab

A taxi will not be excessively expensive, and the chances of being able to share a cab, and thus make the per-person cost negligible, are also very high. The bus is also quite sensible. In all seriousness, if you're down for some exercise and aren't carrying a bunch of shit, it's not a bad walk, either. Medications, which hotel are you referring to? The airport bus runs all the way to the UF campus, which is adjacent to the Holiday Inn. No need to even think about the walk from downtown. Imjussayin....

Here is the route that I believe is correct (I am not from Gainesville, but am flying into GNV which is why I researched this); http://www.go-rts.com/images/schedules/ ... oute25.pdfUnfortunately I land right in the middle of a time they have no buses running Cab for me! (Any other festers flying in at 1:54PM on Thursday...cab split!)
