That is true about having to cross the street if you do the ABVI. The Days Inn is perfectly fine. I drove most of the time last year at Fest, but did walk to registration. It probably took 25 minutes. So you're looking at a 35 minute walk to the greater Fest area(where the venues are)

I think 35 min is really a good estimation to the venues

As far as the smaller, cheaper motels on SW13th go, you can probably wait until nearer the time and still be ok. good looking out man, 35 min walk not bad at all, just outta curiosity how close are these motels from the later nite shows/parties....holiday inn would be ideal but the low prices for these cheaper motels makes me going to Fest this year a shoe in haha

The house shows and parties are scattered all over the place. In terms of location I don't think any one hotel is best for getting to/from late night unofficial Fest events as you never know where they're gonna go down anyway.

Can anyone remember how quickly the Holiday Inn sold out last year? Need to find out if I can wait until Saturday to book!

If I remeber right, defintily took longer last year... my GUESS, your save.. also a lot of the people already booked at the hampton inn, so I think the demand for holiday inn is not as big anymore as it used to be
