ughh... take a shower hippie Go listen to some smooth jazz, old man. After the death of the sidebar, it was definitely my favorite venue. Grab some malt liquor from the hob-mart, and you're good to go. Oh well. It lasted more than 6 months, which seems to be an astounding feat in Gainesville.

I liked the kickstand more for shows during the rest of the year. Gonna miss it. I hope they can bring back the bicycle part of it, even if it's not somewhere they can do shows.

dennis_ATTACKS wrote: it isn't a matter of opinion, it is fact that the kick stand was the best Fest venue last year if you like it when bands have horrible sound then yeah it rules. even when there was a line it always moved quickly so i was thankful for that. I ran from the atlantic to the kickstand right after shook ones ended and still caught most of defiance ohio's set that night. too bad all i could hear was violin and drums.

didn't manage to get to the kickstand last year so it's a shame that it's gone.

the kickstand was probably my favourite venue. iron chic the last two years and good luck at Fest 7 were both highlights, and standing around drinking ridiculously sized energy alcohol drinks made it even better.
it's good to know that there's going to be a venue in between the common grounds and the venue though, the common grounds got far too crowded and the queues were shit.

The Kickstand was cool for the BYOB aspect for sure, but i definitely think it helped contribute to this fat kids swamp ass on more than one occasion

I only ever made it out to this venue once, but it was too far away. Plus, I agree with the bad sound and low stage. I'm pretty pumped about this new venue though.

Wasn't Kickstand a huge ass distance away from the rest of the Venues?
If so, then I'm kinda glad.

And though we are BYOB, I will personally destroy you and steal your drink if you attempt to consume an alcoholic beverage outside the door. So be careful.

I loved the kickstand, it was a great hangout place, but it was a pretty terrible venue.
I am glad pretty much entirely for the aspect that it will force Bomb The Music Industry into a bigger venue this year. Hopefully.
