I hate to be that guy, but I can't help but notice that I didn't really start to appreciate how awesome the 90s was until a few years ago.
A LOT of the bands you guys are talking about will be largely forgotten in 7 years or so. Can't you guys just wait to go catagorizing everything? This reeks of record store judiciary.

It's easy to point out crappy bands people will forget, and great bands people will forget. We naturally WANT to figure out which good bands will be well remembered, but I think it is also interesting to try to figure out which crappy bands will become legendary, and why.

The Ergs, because girls like them and guys want to get laid and think listening to that crap will help them do so. Disclaimer for the uninformed: I hate most pop-punk.

Josh, Jana, and I:
The keepers of real punk.
Disclaimer: I know exactly how that sounds, and no, I wouldn't dare take myself seriously.

Can I be in the TRU PUNX club if the only Ergs song I thought was any good was "Every Romance Language" or is that enough to disqualify me?

As the lead vocalist for a hardcore band, you shouldn't be admitting things like that. I'm going to pretend I didn't read that. You pretend you didn't type it. We'll just be cool.
