as the first decade of the 2000s nears an end, what bands (from 2000-present)do you think will leave a lasting impression and will still matter years from now?
the two that come to mind the fastest are:
The Ergs! Bomb the Music Industry!
followed by:
Paint it Black and Against Me!

Bridge and Tunnel are one of those bands that everyone who loves them, fucking loves them, so I have no doubt that they'll become timeless. I think they'll get better and more immortal with every new album. You hear that? Immortal.
B&T will leave a lasting impression and will still matter years from now.

ICP can hang out with ODB all they want but they're still a bunch of lameasses who act like music about stabbing people and drinking shitty carbonated beverages is somehow related to Jesus.
I think in ten years I'll be so enraged with the state of the world that I won't even be able to listen to music anymore, I'll just smash televisions and listen to the noises that result.

IF we survive 2012 and the massive blackholes that will form from the Large Hydron Collider, there better be some sweet, hot pink hover-boards for me to ride venue-to-venue at Fest 18.

I didn't say I like them. I was just messing with sawtooth. We should find some old tvs at the Fest and smash them accordingly.

I wasn't accusing you of being a Juggalo, I just hate the Incredible Clown Party with a white-hot fiery kind of way.
The house I grew up in is like two blocks from a mall that has had a Hot Topic since at least 1998. Of course, this led to a high percentage of juggalos crawling around my neighborhood. I actually once saw a video tape that was made by a bunch of juggalos at a park near my house - two hours of pure stupidity, featuring thirteen year-olds extolling the virtues of cigarettes and culminating in the lamest Port-A-Potty tipping I've ever seen. I also once went to a backyard wrestling match, where I saw a snaggle-toothed juggalo in his early twenties with pitiful red-and-blue dreads hitting on a thirteen year-old.
The worst part? Now I see the little ICP "Hatchet Man" logo on minivans with car seats inside. Holy fuck.
And I know, I know, "PUNX ARE DUMB" and all that . . . but maaaaan . . .
