I should bring a soccer ball(or football for all the non-americans), and we can get a game going! We can be half drunk as we play! I'm in !!! Football is a simple game; 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes, and at the end the Germans always win (Gary Lineker) So, if we get a game together, how is this going to work? Americans vs. Europeans? It might end up being myself against 11 other guys.

Haha. Shame Armalite and Off Minor aren't playing this year, apparently they both have footy afficionados within their ranks. In fact if I remember right, one of Off Minor had an Arsenal top on on stage.
Football outside in Florida would be hoooooooooot. We need a local to book us a gym hall, or something.

It's pretty much only used for pick up soccer type stuff

I'm willing to brave the heat...although I really don't know how hot it is in Florida come late October.
We could just go to the University of Florida and sneak into one of their indoor practice facilities.

Do Armalite and Off Minor share a member? Because I was talking about Fest 6 too. It was the purple and navy hooped top, and he had Sagna on the back of it, which I remember because, well, who has Sagna on the back of their top?

On a slightly different note, I watched the LA Galaxy vs. Barcelona game last night. It is quite sad to see the disparity between the European Leagues and MLS. MLS needs to shell out some cash and get some big names over here!

The one time you've tried that, it doesn't seem to be going so well. Barcelona would (do) make any team look stupid, though. They are easily the best in the world. And that's even with a slightly dodgy defence.

They need to get some younger goal scorers over...America likes a lot of scoring/action in their sports.

I don't know loads about the MLS, but it seems to me you're not taking full advantage of sharing a continent with Brazil and Argentina (and to an extent Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, etc). I know the top Euro teams sign up the very best young South American talent early on, but for the next level down I don't see why the MLS can't be a midpoint for them on the way to Europe. Unfortunately I can't see any genuine talent playing in Europe heading west any time soon, unless they're coming to the end of their careers. In fact, we (Aberdeen) just let go of a player who has gone on to sign for Colorado, who actually kicked out a guy that had played over 100 times for them to make room for him. I don't know how good / big Colorado are, but that's not too encouraging.

Most of the MLS teams are pretty even in terms of talent... it's really hard for a team to gain a big competitive advantage based on how the league is set up. And the league does a good job at developing some younger players, but they all end up leaving for the greener pastures of Europe.

After all that it seems we're probably going to sign Rohan Ricketts, who was at Toronto. But more importantly, Scotland vs Norway in Oslo tonight. Come on!

Didn't Yugoslavia then repeatedly show the US how to do it before they went their separate ways? I wish I hadn't mentioned our game tonight.
