So check it. I do an internet radio program weekly called Generic Insight Radio, maybe some of you have heard of it. In the past I've had some folks do radio show "takeovers".

You record an hour-long audio segment of music/talking and shoot it over to me, to be aired eventually live on an episode of Generic Insight.

This basically means you take over Generic Insight Radio for an hour and be a guest DJ/DJs. I had a band record some of their own material live too so if you want to do that as well, that'd be sick, but its not mandatory.

* You do need to have access to audio recording and be able to turn it into an mp3 file. You then send that over to me and I play it during an episode of GIR one night. You get to pick/play all your own music, whatever you choose.
* Genres can be whatever you want. Play your band's music and plug your tours/shows/record, and play your favorite music, talk about whatever the hell you want. It's a punk/hardcore/indie show in general but this is the one exception where you can play Black Flag followed by the Beatles if you really want to.



Rules:

* Must have access to recording software that can be turned into an mp3 file, as well as a microphone to speak into.
* Audio segments can't extend any more than ONE hour.
* Aside from that, anything goes! The only thing I ask is to please refrain from during the recording/talking segments, ABSOLUTELY NO RACIST/SEXIST/HOMOPHOBIC REMARKS! I screen the the audio segments beforehand and if there is anything said that I think will offend potential listeners, I will NOT air it. I think it should be a given overall, I'm not trying to be the FCC but I do want certain logical restrictions. However, cursing/swearing in general is perfectly fine, there aren't any general "bad word" regulations as it is internet radio.


Anyone down to do this any time soon (for serious), and if you want to take part, please try and do it within a reasonable upcoming time frame. The sooner you record a segment, the sooner it will air.
