Hey,
I'm fairly new here, so I'll try to introduce myself.
My name is Jakob, 20, live in Copenhagen, Denmark. I'm a messenger, so I use a lot of time in the streets on my bike. I'm a vegetarian and freegan, who loves punk rock, shows, books, politics, activism, diy ethics, photography and cooking. I also play guitar in a garage punk band and a hardcore punk band.

I plan to travel the East Coast and Midwest on a low budget, from October to January, but don't have an specific time schedule yet.
I begin my travel in Gainesville participating in the Fest, and move up the coast from there.

Here's my plan so far

Gainesville, FL
Atlanta, GA
Athens, GA
(Portsmouth, VA)
(Hampton, VA)
Richmond, VA
Washington, DC
Baltimore, MD
Philadelphia, PA
New Brunswick, NJ (Jersey City, Hoboken)
New York, NY (Brooklyn, Bronx)
Long Island, NY
Boston, MA
Portsmouth, NH
Lowell, MA
Buffalo, NY
Pittsburgh, PA
Cleveland, OH
Cincinnati, OH
Bloomington, IN
Indianapolis, IN
Chicago, IL
Milwaukee, WI
Madison, WI
Minneapolis, MN
(bold = got a place to stay)
(italic = tbc)

So if anyone here have, or knows someone who knows someone who have a couch or floor to share, wants to hang out, drink coffee, show me around, have any good advice, recommendations, please feel free to send an email to axepresto at gmail dot com or pm me here.

Note that these cities are about the places I want to go.
Also, any advice or changes regarding the cities/plan are more than welcome!

I'm very easy to get around, open minded and love to meet new people.

Thanks,
Jakob

Just out of curiosity... Why Long Island?
I might be able to give you a couch.

Cool! Basically because I've heard many nice things about it, and there's a lot of great music going on.

if those cities are in sequential order, you might want to switch cleveland and pittsburgh, as you'd be doubling back before heading to the midwest...

for stuff going on in buffalo, check out www.buffaloshows.net

Thanks! Yeah, they are more or less, depending on the time frame. I'll take a look at the page- hope to catch some shows there.

Nice, thanks. It looks as though the site hasn't been updated for a while. This http://www.myspace.com/longislandpunkshows also seem like a good site.
If you have a available couch, just hook me up with an email.

If you search on it, there's a "forum" and people post stuff there.

I don't know if I'll have a couch, it really depends on when you want to come. We could always talk at the Fest for a bit.
