This is an ongoing thread so we don't start a new one every time I or someone else wants to give the heads up about a Gville show.
For those of you that hadn't been on here since Fest 7, this is one way local festers kept in touch in the Fest off season.
BBQs, dance parties, house shows, yardsales, benefits and the like can all be added here as well.
So yeah, upcoming shows of interest:Jun 9 2009 9:00P Grabass Charlestons (acoustic), Coffee Project, Awesome City Limits @ Civic Media Center Jun 15 2009 10:00P Chuck Ragan @ Common Grounds Jun 16 2009 10:00P The Enablers, The Fab Family, Waylon Thornton and the Heavy Hands @ Civic Media Center Jun 19 2009 10:00P FRODUS, Guiltmaker, So Pastel @ Common Grounds Jun 23 2009 10:00P The Takers (CD Release Show), The Enablers, Lauris Vidal @ Atlantic Jun 24 2009 10:00P Jon Snodgrass, Cory Branan, Joey Cape @ Common Grounds Jun 26 2009 10:00P Girls On Film, Entertainment, Oddknock, Sarcastic @ Atlantic Jun 30 2009 10:00P CHILL WIZARD, WETNURSE, LORD MANTIS, HOT GRAVES, DROAN @ Atlantic Jul 10 2009 10:00P Mehkago N.T., Flying Snakes, Tourist Trap (FYI - lineup keeps changing) @ Atlantic Jul 12 2009 6:00P Torche, Harvey Milk: early show, doors at 6! @ Common Grounds Jul 17 2009 10:00P Whiskey and Co., Buckeye, Armed Metropolis, SBJ, The Greek Favourites @ Civic Media Center Jul 24 2009 10:00P The Enablers @ Common Grounds Jul 28 2009 10:00P dark castle, bloody panda @ Atlantic Wanted to make note of this:No Idea Presents: Acoustic Nights at the CMC All summer long, No Idea will be hosting acoustic music every Tuesday night at the newly located Civic Media Center. Coffin Dance is SO GOOD. That Mitch Paster's a Renaissance Man, I'll tell you what... He emailed me a very odd message before he played Gville on May 29th. Mitch: are you going to the atlantic tomorrow night for the mouth of the architect show? Me: Probably going to the Tampa show. Why do you ask?Mitch: my band is opening both of those. If he was hoping I'd shoot his band or something I was completely lost. So weirdly vague. Oddly enough, I missed his band in Tampa but shot other bands alongside him. Completely unknowing until later that was who had emailed me. Maybe I ought to email him and get to the bottom of this...haha
