I have a room available for Friday and Saturday nite. Rate was originally $185 per night ($169 +tax), willing to give it up for $160 per night for a savings of $50!!

You may want to double check with the Fest/Holiday Inn that you can easily transfer to another person. The room and armbands will still likely be in your name and that would possibly cause problems with the new occupants. Also, did you look into canceling the room straight out, it there a cancel fee or something?
