Jeff Finley made another awesome Fest shirt this year:

Image

He says:

The concept behind my design this year was friendship. Instead of playing on the booze and the tomfoolery of the Fest (which it’s also known for) I wanted to go a more positive route and focus on what means the most to me. I’ve made the trek from Cleveland to Gainesville the past two years, and one of the driving forces is getting to see old faces and also putting faces to the names I know online. Also, fellow Go Media partner Chris, aka Wilson Revehl, lives in FL and he’s enjoyed both years with me. I’m sure this year will be no different.

See, at some punk shows, you go into a mosh pit and have to deal with some skinhead bruisers or jocks who just want to beat everyone down. But not at the Fest. If you fall down, some flannel wearing bearded dude will gladly pick you right back up. It’s also about fairness, equality, and treating people how you want to be treated. See you at the Fest this year!

I quite like that, though I'd prefer it on a lighter colour of shirt.

Cool shirt, although I do not appreciate his implication that booze and tomfoolery are not positive

Good point, well made. Booze and tomfoolery are catalysts for friendship.

Yeah I didn't mean to imply that. I simply wanted to do something that I relate to more. I don't drink, in fact alcohol had a negative impact on my family growing up. But I definitely don't want to take anything away from what others consider positive!

It's all good!

I really like this shirt and the concept. I like to get boozed as much as the next guy. But the Fest is really about the same thing for me as it is you. It's the one time of year all my friends are in one place. I will purchase this shirt. The one you made last year was so rad. /transmission

i'll definitely be getting one of these shirts this year.......I understand and agree with the sentiment that this is punk rock, and spitting in the face of any established code is perhaps the most important aspect, but the fact of the fuggin matter is that I have been overwhelmed by how much I have enjoyed being around most of the people I have met at the Fest.....anywho, good shite man
