Who would you move up to a bigger venue/down to a smaller venue for next year?

Up: Lemuria/Andrew Jackson Jihad/Polar Bear Club

Down: Japanther/Methadones/Chris Wollard

up- Crime In Stereo, PBC, maybe Hour Of The Wolf

down - Not really anybody I saw.

Chris Wollard definitely does not need to be at a smaller venue, last year The Atlantic was packed, I barely got in. I feel like after the next album he'll be an even bigger draw. Sweet southern rock riffage.

Isn't the only option above Common Grounds the Venue? In which case, no way would I move Lemuria.

I think moving up and down is hard to say, cause it includes as well if they play against bands simular type or also if they are in the common grounds..

from this year I would say Gunmoll where in the wrong venue/ wrong time.. a lot of people that where at common grounds all day, where in the backyard while they played and other people just wanted to watch them maybe camped at the CG before or missed them in line..

I guess what the Fest would really need is another venue minimum the size of CG or maybe between venue and CG and its nice to see some bands with a big crowd at the venue, but the best shows are always the one for me at atlantic, market street, 1982 or kickstand, where people go nuts, sing a long and where there is just an incredible athmosphere, which happens seldom at the venue..

Yeah, I love it when the bands I want to see most aren't at The Venue, even if capacity can be an issue.

In fact, I'd really rather see a band at Common Grounds or The Atlantic during another time of the year, rather than see them at The Venue.

The reason I bring this up is that not all of us have the opportunity to see most of these bands. I think if a band is more popular than it should be moved to a bigger venue to accommodate. Whether it was a great experience or not is meaningless if people can't get in to see it.

You just need to prioritise. I doubt anyone saw all the bands they wanted to. Common Grounds was obviously going to be mega busy on the Saturday so we went early and missed bands like Algernon as a result.

(But it was worth it. )

I just wish Dear Landlord and Banner Pilot played later @ Common Grounds on Saturday. It was a real bummer to miss Banner Pilot after waiting in line for over an hour. I was 10 people back from the door too! Then to see the place only half full for the Copyrights and Cheap Girls, some schedule shifting would have made sense.

yeah, Cheap Girls and Gunmoll could probably have fit well at The Atlantic.

it's gotta be hell to not only figure out all this shit about how big a draw bands are, but also have them with somewhat similar bands for a coherent showcase. I'm sure most of the thrash bands at Market St could have played a much smaller place, but they sort of had to be at the same venue as Asshole Parade.

oh yeah, I would like to see Brainworms somewhere a little bigger, maybe The Atlantic, or Kickstand.
