Hey, i'm travelling over from ireland for this, just wondering about accomodation and how much i should expect to pay and all that kinda shtuff? Any good places for reasonable prices?
EDIT: Oh and also, would orlando be the best place to fly into for this, yes? Or is there somewhere closer or with better bars to spend a day or two? Was thinking maybe flying there on the tuesday, heading to daytona on the wednesday, then on to gainsville on the thursday...? Ideas?

yea, Orlando would be your best bet. it's only about an hour and half or so from g-ville.
as far as it being a cool place to hang around...not so much.
although, the Golden Corral is a pretty brutal restaurant.
as far as staying somewhere, you can probably stay at someones house. kids are usually willing to house people no problem

I plan on flying down from New Brunswick, Canada and I was wondering if anyone would be gracious enough to lodge me for a few days.
I've never killed anyone.

Ok, more questions (or rather just the one), where can i get gig listings for orlando/jacksonville/tampa? Have a few days either end of the Fest before i fly back to ireland, so want to find some good shows to go see.

...not sure if you've bought your tickets yet...but, i do believe that flying into Jacksonville would be cheaper than Orlando (and, it is a closer drive too...i believe) now, of course, since you're planning on flying in early to hang out, i could just imagin that Orlando would be more fun. but yeah...just letting ya know.

Hey, thanks for that, but it was actually cheaper for me to fly into orlando in the end. Going to crash there the tuesday, then off to jacksonville wednesday, then on to gainesville thursday. Try and make tampa monday night, depending on whether anything's happening elsewhere. But thanks for the info man, much appreciated.

i bet those dumpsters are gonna be fuckin' busy. with that many punks in one town i'll bet most of 'em will be pretty picked over. but, hey, it's worth a shot.

Don't worry too much about a place to stay... Keep your bags in your car, and don't sleep. Gainesville don't stop at Fest time. Sleep for 20 minutes at a time between bands. And between 9AM-11AM at parties.

I live in orlando and I know all of the hotspots and watering holes here. If you want, you can e-mail me at MsMichaelsifyoureNASTY@hotmail.com. I'm making the drive from Borlando to G'ville on friday afternoon. It only takes like an 1 1/2 hr. drive from here. Some really great places to drink on Wednesdays.
