Los Angeles-based Gentlemen Prefer Blood hit the mark when it comes to smart lyrics and razor-sharp chords that encapsulate the spirit of the late 70’s and early 90’s. Their “buzzsaw pop” music is packed with a whirlwind of palm mutes, single-string leads and crunchy chords played over solid bass lines, and the drums explode in each song like a keg of dynamite. Anthemic vocals and raspy hooks rest atop the cacophony. The band never ceases to amaze with their live set, and have 7″ releases from On The Real Records, Serious Moonlighting Records and Radius Records. Their third full-length album, Used Books and Guns, debuted April 7, 2015 as a co-release on SoCal labels It’s Alive Records and La Escalera Records.
